One True Media is the newest Web 2.0 that I have discovered. This tool is free to sign up and use but you can also upgrade for a small fee which will give you more options when creating your media asset. With this Web 2.0 tool you can create video montages in a matter of minutes. The one I created literally took me 3-5 minutes to put together.
Once you upload your video and pictures, you can apply a montage style, edit and sequence, add music and text, choose your own transitions and best of all you can even purchase your montage on DVD and create your own DVD cover. This is something that is so easy to customize you are going to love using it. As far as the music goes, you can choose from their precompiled list of songs or even upload your own. You decide how long each picture or slide is shown. There are so many different styles so your personality will show through your video.
One thing I thought was really cool is that you can post your media asset directly to your blogger, youtube, facebook, twitter account and many others with just a few simple steps or you can use code to embed it as I chose to do here.
Of course us Mac users have imovie which is a fantastic tool but imagine your students in the classroom being able to create a video montage of their own in a matter of minutes. I can see this being a very useful Web 2.0 tool in my classroom.
